How Creative Chemical Solutions Limited collects, uses and protects personal data in connection with ECET 2026.
Last updated 10 August 2026
1. Who we are
Creative Chemical Solutions Limited is the data controller for the personal data described on this page. Registered in England and Wales under company number 12664386, with a registered office at 47 Halkyn Road, Hoole, Chester, CH2 3QD, UK.
For anything on this page, contact Stephen Heath at stephen.heath@creativechemicalsolutions.uk.com.
This site is built and maintained on our behalf by Hand On Web Ltd, who act as our processor.
2. What we collect, and why
If you register for the event
We ask for:
- About you, as the person booking: your name, email address, organisation, and — optionally — your phone number, country, and a purchase order reference.
- About each delegate: their full name and email address, and optionally their job title.
- Optionally, how you heard about ECET, which helps us decide where to promote future events.
We use this to take your booking, confirm your place, produce the delegate list and badges, and contact you about the event. The lawful basis is performance of a contract with you.
What we deliberately do not ask for
The booking form does not ask about dietary requirements, allergies or accessibility needs. Those can reveal information about your health, disability or beliefs, and there is no good reason for a website to hold that for a year before an event.
Nearer the day, when we email your joining instructions, the event team will ask whether you have any catering or access requirements. You reply to a person, not a form, and the answer is accurate at the point the venue actually needs it.
If you make a sponsorship or exhibition enquiry
We collect your organisation, name, email address, optional phone number, what you are interested in, and your message. We use it to reply to you and to discuss a package. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to a business enquiry you chose to send us.
If you use the event assistant
See section 4, which covers it in full.
If you tick the updates box
We will email you about future CCS events and training. The lawful basis is consent. Every such email carries an unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw at any time by emailing us. Withdrawing does not affect your booking.
3. Payments
Payments are taken by Stripe. Your card details are entered on Stripe’s own checkout page and are never seen, handled or stored by us. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, the amount, and the billing contact details you gave Stripe.
Stripe is an independent controller for the payment itself. Their privacy policy is at stripe.com/privacy.
4. The event assistant
The chat bubble on the event page is an AI assistant that answers questions about ECET 2026. It is provided by ElevenLabs, who process the conversation on our behalf.
- If you type, your messages and the assistant’s replies are sent to ElevenLabs and stored as a transcript.
- If you use the call button, your microphone audio is streamed to ElevenLabs and a recording of the call is kept, along with the transcript. Your browser will ask permission before the microphone is used, and you can refuse and type instead.
We use this to answer your question and to check the assistant is giving correct information. Conversations are retained for 30 days and then deleted.
Please do not type or say anything confidential to the assistant. It is a public information tool, not a booking system — it cannot take a registration, and it never asks for card details. To book, use the registration form.
6. How long we keep it
- Booking and payment records — seven years. We are required to keep records of our transactions for six years after the end of the financial year they relate to.
- Sponsorship and exhibition enquiries — up to two years, so we can pick up a conversation about a later event.
- Event assistant conversations — 30 days.
- Marketing consent — until you withdraw it.
8. Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- ask us to delete data, where we do not have to keep it for legal or accounting reasons;
- object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it;
- withdraw consent for marketing at any time; and
- ask for your data in a portable, machine-readable form.
Email stephen.heath@creativechemicalsolutions.uk.com and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you raised it with us first so we can put it right.
9. Changes to this notice
If we change how we use personal data we will update this page and the date at the top. Where a change materially affects delegates who have already booked, we will email them.
The terms that apply to your booking are set out separately in our booking terms and conditions.
